This is a Japanese handmade cast iron teapot. The surface is like the irregular texture of wood. There is a carving of Bodhidharma Buddha on the teapot, which is full of Zen atmosphere. It is cast from pig iron, the handle is made of copper. Its reasonable curvature makes it easy to pour water, and it is sturdy and non-slip. The spout pours water smoothly and cut the water neatly. Using an iron teapot to brew tea will makes the tea taste better. The boiling point of water in iron teapot is higher than an ordinary teapot, it has good thermal insulation performance, using high temperature water to brew tea can better stimulate the aroma of tea. The cast iron teapot will release trace iron ions and absorb chloride ions in water. Iron elements can soften water and make it sweeter and softer. Avoid dry burning, it will cause the teapot to rust. Remove the lid after use and use the residual heat to evaporate the teapot, or wipe the teapot dry with a tea towel. If the iron teapot is rusted, you can gently brush it with a soft brush, then heat it with green tea and water until it boils, and repeat for 2-3 days. You can also use rice water, vinegar, cut some onions, potato slices or radishes with a little salt to remove rust.
