About the Pan Teapot
The Pan teapot is a classic Yixing design with a rich historical origin. This form was first created by Pan Shicheng, a tea-loving gentleman from Putian, Fujian, during the late Qing Dynasty. Passionate about Yixing craftsmanship, Pan Shicheng commissioned exclusive teapots from Yixing artisans for personal use and as prestigious gifts.
His custom-made teapots followed a distinct and elegant shape, which later became widely recognized as the “Pan Pot.” Traditionally, authentic Pan pots were made in small vermilion Zisha clay, reflecting his refined tea-drinking habits.
Pan pots eventually became a symbol of status. It is said that daughters of the Pan family would bring these teapots as part of their dowry—wishing for prosperity, good education, and the continuation of the family’s honored name.
Today, the Pan teapot remains admired for:
✔ Its timeless proportions
✔ Its elegant, balanced silhouette
✔ Its strong cultural and collector value
This handmade version—crafted from seven-color segmented Zisha clay—brings a modern artistic touch to a classic, historic shape.

Zisha Teapot Introduction
Born from the ancient earth of Yixing and shaped by the hands of devoted artisans, the Zisha teapot is more than a vessel—it is the quiet breath of a thousand years of Chinese tea culture.
In Dingshu Town, where purple clay has slept beneath red mountains since the Song Dynasty, craftsmen grind rare ore into fine powder, awaken it with water, and form it into teapots that feel alive in the hand.
Each hue—vermilion, purple, or duanni gold—comes not from glaze or paint, but from the clay’s own mineral soul. Fired in the kiln, the body settles into gentle earth tones that whisper of stone, mountain mist, and riverbed.
The clay is naturally pure, lead-free, highly breathable, allowing tea to breathe and bloom. When hot water meets the pot, fragrance lifts gracefully; the broth becomes round, soft, and steady—a flavor that deepens with every brew. With time, your teapot develops its own patina, quietly recording every cup you have ever shared.
Care is simple: rinse with warm water and let it rest. No soap, no haste—Zisha remembers everything it touches.
To pour tea from an Yixing teapot is to hold history in your palm.
To keep one is to keep a companion—steady, understated, and full of character.
And for collectors, the works of true masters have already stepped beyond utility; they are living antiques, cherished for both artistry and soul.
