Inspired by the quiet beauty of withered lotus leaves, this teapot captures both stillness and strength. The textured veins and gentle curvature form a natural rhythm — serene, understated, yet deeply expressive.

The lotus may wither, but life continues beneath the surface. This pot embodies that cycle of stillness and renewal, making it a meaningful companion for contemplative tea sessions.

At Heritage & The Maker, we honor the deep, poetic traditions of Yixing teaware. Each handmade vessel carries a story — of nature, of culture, and of the artisan who shapes it.

The Clay Lotus Leaf Teapot reflects this philosophy with elegance. Crafted by Yixing artisan Du Chengping, this piece transforms the humble lotus leaf into a symbol of resilience and quiet beauty. Jiangpo clay enhances the natural texture, allowing the veins, curves, and organic charm to breathe.

The Lotus Leaf form has long been cherished in Chinese literati culture as an emblem of purity and rebirth. In this pot, that heritage merges with Du’s meticulous craftsmanship, creating a piece that is both a functional teapot and a poetic sculpture.

To collect a piece from Heritage & The Maker is to preserve centuries of artistry — shaped by hand, inspired by nature, and crafted for those who value meaning in every detail.
