An Experimental Masterpiece of Wuyi Terroir Step beyond the ordinary with the JiangnanSourcing Jin Mu Dan, an exceptional black tea crafted from the large, thick leaves of the Golden Peony cultivar. While most Wuyishan black teas like Jin Jun Mei are prized for simple sweetness, our Jin Mu Dan offers an adventurous, multi-layered journey that evolves with every infusion.

A Magical Evolution in the Cup This wild tree harvest is defined by its incredible endurance and shifting flavor profile:

  • Initial Steeps: A pleasantly savory opening with a deep, berry-like sweetness.

  • The Transformation: From the third steep onward, the tea reveals its true "magical" character—a vibrant fruity-floral aroma supported by a sturdy base of minerals and pine wood.

  • Texture & Finish: Characterized by a rich, velvety thickness, the tea remains smooth without aggression or bitterness. The Hui Gan (aftertaste) is long-lasting, outperforming standard small-leaf black teas.

The soul of this tea lies in the Wuyi Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its mineral-rich, rocky soil. Our producer is a forward-thinking maker who chose to break tradition by using the Jin Mu Dan (Golden Peony) cultivar—a hybrid of Tieguanyin and Huangjin Gui—for a fully oxidized black tea.

By hand-picking only the most robust wild tea leaves (ranging from 3 to 8 cm), the maker ensures a higher concentration of polyphenols and oils. This meticulous process preserves the "floral-mineral" DNA of the oolong parentage while delivering the comforting warmth of a premium Fujian black tea.
