Where Wuyi Rock Oolong Meets Lapsang Souchong The JiangnanSourcing Huang Mei Gui (Yellow Rose) is a rare, small-batch experimental black tea that defies traditional categorization. While most Lapsang Souchong is straightforward and malty, this version utilizes the aromatic Yellow Rose cultivar—typically reserved for high-end Wuyi Rock Oolongs—to create a black tea with unprecedented aromatic depth and "Yarn Yun" (Rock Rhyme) mineral character.

A Multi-Sensory "Hybrid" Experience Because it is processed as a black tea but born from an Oolong cultivar, it offers the best of both worlds. The experienced drinker will immediately notice:

  • The Texture: Notably thicker and more velvet-like than standard black teas.

  • The Profile: A sophisticated mineral base layered with vibrant floral blossoms, exotic spices, and hints of wild berries.

  • The Endurance: Unlike many black teas that fade after three steeps, the Yellow Rose cultivar provides exceptional "Gongfu" endurance, evolving through 8–10 infusions.

For the curious mind, this tea sits perfectly in the "liminal space" between a rich black tea and a mineral-heavy Wuyi Oolong. Explore this unique harvest at www.jiangnansourcing.com.

It takes about 7-15 days to USA, Europe and Australia. To other countries, please refer to the actual logistics time or consult customer service.

This experimental batch is produced in the Wuyishan region of Fujian, the birthplace of black tea. Our maker is a boutique producer who seeks to bridge the gap between traditional Xiao Zhong (Lapsang Souchong) techniques and modern cultivar experimentation.

By applying the long, careful oxidation of a black tea to the high-fragrance Huang Mei Gui leaves, the maker has successfully captured the "mineral soul" of the Wuyi mountains within a sweet, dark tea profile. This is not a mass-produced tea; it is a technical exercise in terroir and processing, exclusive to the JiangnanSourcing collection.
