The Ultimate Expression of Lincang Terroir Finding a sun-dried black tea (Shai Hong) that balances oxidation with clean drying is a rare feat. Many fall short—either tasting "over-fermented" or lacking the body of a true black tea. The JiangnanSourcing 2024 Amber Sunrise is our answer to that search: a meticulously crafted tea cake that captures the warmth of the morning sun.

A Symphony of Flavor Amber Sunrise offers a thicker body and more complex evolution than traditionally roasted black teas. The experience begins with grounding notes of weathered wood, sweet highland grass, and a whisper of spice. As the tea opens, it transforms into a vibrant bouquet of red florals and sun-ripened berries, finishing with the unmistakable honeyed sweetness of lychee. It is a "warm embrace" in a cup, perfect for the cooler months of Autumn, Winter, and Spring.

Crafted for Longevity While most Shai Hong is compressed immediately, we allowed these 2024 Spring leaves to rest loose for 10 months. This crucial step ensures a uniform mellowing before being steamed and pressed in January 2025. The result? A tea that is spectacular now but possesses the enzymatic "living" quality to age beautifully through 2027 and beyond.

It takes about 7-15 days to USA, Europe and Australia. To other countries, please refer to the actual logistics time or consult customer service.

The leaves for Amber Sunrise are harvested from the remote Banggai Village in the Lincang region, perched at an altitude of 1400m on the west bank of the Nanmeng River. This high-elevation GEO-location, characterized by a 26°C average temperature and mist-heavy rainfall, produces leaves dense with polyphenols.

Our producer in Banggai utilizes traditional bamboo-tray sun-drying, a slow-curing process that avoids the "burnt" notes of industrial kilns. To ensure the tea reaches you in pristine condition, each 200g cake is double-wrapped in breathable paper, and every "Tong" (5 cakes) is encased in traditional bamboo husks for natural micro-climate protection.

Returns will be accepted for up to 30 days of Customer’s receipt or tracking number on unworn items. You, as a Customer, are obliged to inform us via email before you return the item, only in the case of:
