Smoky/smoked version
This smoked version of the classic Chinese Lapsang Souchong is, as the name already reveals, very smoky. It's a tea that has been requested by many of you, but we've always been in two minds about it. The Teasenz brand represents high quality and authentic Chinese tea. But this black tea, although made in China, is in fact an 'export tea'. In other words, it's not consumed in China. However, the smoked version is in fact the original Lapsang Souchong. On the other hand, the the mild version is actually introduced during the beginning of this century, tailored to the preference of Chinese tea enthusiasts.
The first time trying this tea, we were shocked by the intense smoky smell of the dry leaves. Yet, once steeped some of us really enjoyed it. You may wonder, how can one like such smoky taste? We believe, the reason is likely similar to why people like smoked meat, cheese, and cigars.
The smoking process
What's fascinating is how this tea is smoked on bamboo baskets in 3-4 story, wooden smoking house (Qing Lou). We believe this unique production process is a true heritage, and made us decide to offer this unusual black tea in our store. Returns will be accepted for up to 30 days of Customer’s receipt or tracking number on unworn items. You, as a Customer, are obliged to inform us via email before you return the item, only in the case of:

– Item arrived not as expected (ie. damaged packaging).
– Item had defects.
– Over delivery time.
– The shipper does not allow the goods to be inspected before payment.
The returned product(s) must be in the original packaging, safety wrapped, undamaged and unworn. This means that the item(s) must be safely packed in a carton box for protection during transport, possibly the same carton used to ship to you as a customer.
