Kutaniyaki ware (九谷焼) is a traditional Japanese painted pottery, named after its origin, Kutani, Japan, and has a history of 350 years. Kutani ware pieces are known for their bright colors and intricate designs, often inspired by nature. This set of floral teacups is decorated with Goh-Souka patterns. The patterns are peony, red plum, bamboo leaves, violets and irises. Each flower is lifelike and in different colors, just like a beautiful flower painting, which is pleasing on the cup and makes people feel the breath of flowers bloom. It uses traditional Japanese painting techniques, outlined with green, yellow, white, dark blue and red paints, and the color matching is harmonious. The traditional painting style combined with the brown retro glaze shows the characteristics of Kutani ware.
